I have fitted front relocation cones to my Discovery and have an issue which I can't quite get my head around.

I have fitted the cones in the following order...

Axle
Sprint seat
+3" Spring
Turret ring
Chassis
Relocation cone
Turret

The problem is that the cones on both sides are hitting the front edge of the damper and scratching the paint. This is at rest so as the axle comes up the damper willove forward in the arc and the cone will catch more. When the axle drops the damper moves away.

I have checked that the cones are not angled and they aren't so there isn't a specific way of fitting them.

Can anyone please help!!!!!

Could you use a twin shock turret on the fronts and just use the out board shock mount ?

It's a way forward but TBH these are designed to fit together as they are all terrafirma. Just wondering if anyone had this issue before and a search didn't reveal any good info on this pacific problem. Plus that would mean extra money on another turret and then welding another bracket to the axle.

are you running standard front radius arms ?

Yes standard at moment. Prepping for MOT so vehicle hasn't moved yet.

The turrets have a sloping side and a straight side. According to the instructions the sloping side goes towards the rear. If I where to turn them around 180 degrees it may clear but the turret would then foul the inner wing

Thanks. I dismissed this thought initially as I didn't think the lift would make this much difference. Oh well role on next month for new arms.

There's a place in mid wales ( langers knows the name) that will correct your standard arms to the right angle for 15 quid an arm. Will get langers here to post the name.

Cheers guys and thanks Langers. I know of Gwynn Lewis and spoke to him a while back regarding setting up the suspension.

Did a search last night and found his bending service prior to seeing your post. I am still surprised that the lift has tilted the axle soo much. Looks more than 3 degrees to me.

Given that the spring seat should be level, (obviously it may not be) I will measure the new angle and post what it is.

Reading the GL site, he says that he will bend the front as well for £35 an arm. Very reasonable. However by doing this you will need a de Cardin prop.

Something else I saw was his trailing arms which are £40 odd quid unpainted. BARGAIN
