Depends what's wrong and on the disco model and system. Any thing from blown fuse or a simple adjustment to faulty actuator or door lock cams on a 200 series disco.

if you have no idea whats broken then it's the hardest thing youve ever contemplated.

strip the WHOLE CAR down until you find the broken part and replacing it will be a doddle.

so you say that the doors wil not open without turning the key or lifting up the locking tab inside?

in which case you probably need this:

So is the central locking working... or is it the doors won't open? one symptom of a broken door spring is that the door pin rises on unlocking but falls back down half way so the lock dosen't unlock.

Just done mine as to the sticky at the top-fiddly and frustrating,but know have all 5 doors behaving themselves-nice n rewarding
