Do I need to remove the viscous fan to get to the crank nut, or is there a " sneaky " way ?.

i removed the fan but without a steering guard from below i think with 24mm ring spanner you can just do it

Cheers johnlad, but I cant even see the crank nut due to the metal coolant pipes, just below it.

I,m pretty sure I,ll have to have the fan off, but hav,nt got a big enough spanner.

Shame, cause its a " live " situation this evening !. ( It,ll wait till morning ).
