Hi all,
I'm sure at some point we all have a faulty ABS sensor...my TD4 (2001) is on number 2 now....
I have made an alarming discovery for the sensors fitted to rear of freelander td4 (1a???? to 1A9999)
If you can get the sensor out have a trip to your local Wabco truck part specialist (or truck part wholesale) - I used Fleet Factors in Hull.
ALL Wabco sensors look and appear the same. Measure resistance. Same.
They differ in the connections used to terminate the lead ---- most terminate in a 2 pin socket.
AND differ in price....£240 for gen landy part, £20 to £30 per sensor for replacement. OK you may have to splice wiring to fit - use heatshrink and self amlgamating tape after soldering to make watertight.
And it works.
I'll post pics of my 'conversion' this weekend.......
