Hi,

My local National Tyre have offered to fit and balalce 4 Cooper STT on my 90 (265/75 16) for £490 all in... seems a good deal to me but I wondered if they were any good. They woudl be a change for BF Goodrich AT2s which have done just under 60,000.

Is anyone using the new Cooper STT at the moment - any views or opinions and what about the price?

Cheers - found a dealer in Winchester who can do me a set of Goodridge All Terrains fitted for £530 so its going to be a bit of a toss up... add on the derv for the round trip and that bumps them up to £580

I have them on my 90 can't remember the cost, but I also had rims too. You on about the Cooper Discoverer STT, yes? They are rather good if you ask me, I have driven around a very wet and muddy quarry or 2, some very deep muddy green lanes, and not yet been stuck, it could just be my amazing driving though :D

Got some cooper discoverers on my....dare i say it; Suzuki vitara  was told id get really high miles out of em, been fitted for 2 years and still, the tread looks like new. Bloody good tyres i say!.

well here i go, we tried to get bfg muds for our 38000km trip and had to go with the stt in the end as we couldnt get any bgf muds. they have been great we drove all the way to mongolia and back and we didnt even have so much as a puncture and they are only about a quater worn. will have to see how they get on in the wet in the uk but in the dry and muddy conditions we put them through they were faultless.

check out my blog so see were we went in them.

Excellent - I had them fitted on Friday at Valley Tyres... four 265/75s for £450 all in... and them took them to the Bonkers 4x4 site in Merther on Saturday, they were excellent at standrd pressures. Bit of road noise but not as much as I was expecting and with 38psi rear and 30 psi front road feedback is good
