Well at least landyzone has had a positive response, its the only forum so far to make it a sticky, some of the big forums have had no response at all. So many keyboard warriors who when it comes down to it just cant be arsed.

Come on guys lets get the injustices of the NERC bill noticed.

I dunno .. I'd hope (like to think) that many people will reply without wanting to be 'obvious' about things. There are so many rumours about cops, walkers, 'they' watching forums that some people don't like to put their name down in public when they are seen as challenging the system or asking politically oriented questions.

I don't mind, and it's not 'cos I want to say "look at me I do good", and more to say "look, anyone can do it, no harm comes from this" ... it's 'cos I want to encourage others to vote/write/question things and legislation against 4x4's. I also like to be able to think I had a (small) hand in stopping the erosion of our rights along the way, and writing an email question isn't like you have to sharpen a quill and sign in blood to do so.

Jeez but that sounds sanctimonious, but that's not how I mean it to be ....
 
S'ok Paul, we understand what you mean. I too hope that some people will do so without the encouragement of us lot... but lets be honest... when you compare our political impact witht that of the RA there is no comparison. Just like the Nazis in 1930s Germany - the RA are overshadowing any response from our community - This might be our one opportunity to have our voice heard!
 
Don't forget - The Ramblers Association will not allow any member to post an opinion that does not align with their political aspirations and will ban anyone who says that they may have a point that they disagree with.

What a waste of feckin' time, effort and resources.

I may paraphrase a little ....

We use the internet for communication 'cos it's easy, quick and costs almost nothing as the infrastructure's already there and it's all been a bit of a wasted effort if we don't use it .. So the gov. folks setup an online 'contact your local ****wit, sorry, MP', and so we duly do contact them. We then, pretty quickly really, get an email reply saying "thanks, we'll pass it on and let you know the outcome" .. Nice ... and at least you think/know summat's happening and it's only cost right next to bugger all to inform you nowt's happening just now, but summat might in future and they'll let us know what when or if it does.

We then get a letter from said local MP saying "Thanks for the email, I've sent your suggestion to Nick Clegg, when I get a reply I'll forward it to you." Which would have been fine in 1963, but why not reply in the medium used for the first communication? Far quicker, cheaper, environmentally friendly and frankly, expected!

We then get another letter saying "Thanks for your email, we've sent you a letter replying to you"

The first email they sent was good enough for now, so long as they actually follow up with NC's responses, two letters as well, is a waste.

Utter ****wits. And they make the policies we have to adhere to ....

Got a letter from my MP saying she has passed my letter on to Mr Clegg. I've posted a rant on most forums about lack of interest, this forum has had a better response than most but here's my rant anyway.
Well I hang my head in dispair, two weeks this has been running, a link was posted on all the major forums and we have managed the grand total of 72 votes.
All you have to do is register a user name and email address, you dont even have to wait for a confirmation email, there is no need to comment if you dont want to, just rate it. The greenlane community knows and complains about the injustices of NERC and yet very few people are prepared to do anything about it. There should be thousands of votes by now not just 72. I hang my head in dispair, YOU should hang your heads in SHAME.

Got a letter from the House of Commons assuring us that our complaints are being considered - delivered via MR Selous our local MP
