yes, get some but make sure the plastic grilles are on properly, lost one of mine first time out!! i think paddocks sell em for about 40 quid

true ive had this happen twice, you try buying single covers on there own..to get over this i put a cable tie thru one of the lower grille pieces on the cover and then around the abar, loosly so that if it does fall of it stays connected to the vehicle, works for me,i found them good lights but you loose a lot of beam brightness with the grills on,but whos gonna take em off when it gets dark and then back on when not dark

i would just get the wipacs mate piaas are to expencive the wipacs work brillant ive just put some on mine when the top spots and wipacs and high beam is on its just like day light make sure you fix the plastic covers on properly.

That was my plan, I was afraid the heat might melt the cable tie though

Ive had my wipacs on for over a year now, uprated the bulbs to 120s and they are very good for the £38(paddocks)but im also running a roof bar with spots....and boy oh boy do they make a difference!!
Having the lamps 6' off the ground(4 of them)and of course main beam/wipacs.....apart from melting the trees as i pass by,its like daylight when i switch everything on,but if i had to choose what to keep then it would be the roof lights....amazing things(see my pic for details etc)

swampdonkey has the right idea.

If you want it for road AND offroad i would suggest a pair of driving lamps on the bumper/A bar to give a reasonable long range spread (approx 20degrees).
For offroad, fit a lightbar with 2 spots and 2 floods. spots will narrow to 5degree spread and floods give approx 45 degree spread. This will cover all your needs. (flood for slow offroad amoungst trees. spot/drving for long range or at speed.)

rooflights are great for nightime laning and especially fords :D

What i find is most people just buy "spots" and dont actually know what their buying or what they need them for.

Thanks for all the advice, I have bought a set of wipacs 8 inch driving lights black with a chroam rim +stone guards. Ive always intended to fit a light bar so thats where my spot lights will go. Now how much can one battery take?
