 Hi, i need to remove the vents on the dash to check the blower outlet pipes havent slipped out of place as only getting half blowing power on right compared to left. But not sure whether vents pop out when prised with screwdriver or are they retained with screws on the underside requiring dash removal first... i've checked haynes manual but it dont seem to show this. yet am concern i could end up snapping vents as they are only plastic.

Anyone know?

Thanks

Dave

they're part of the dash, the only vents you can remove are the face level ones, have a look under the dash and make sure all the pipes are on the heater box, they only push on so one may have come off

thats great thanks mate coulda broke the vent.... :)

I have had the dash out of the FL to spray it matt black. The reflections on the windscreen from the original fawny colour were awful.

it takes about an hour to remove and the trickiest parts are the wiring looms for the centre console. You could try to loosen the bolts and tilt the dash backwards to have a look see.

The vents are not well made to be honest. Bits of foam are used to seal the gaps in the ducts and well... they dont seal up the joints
