Window Not Set issues

Hi all, small issue (I hope) with my 95 P38 HSE

When I bought the car it had been stood for a long period of time and the battery had gone flat.
This meant a load of error messages on the LCD
I have cleared all of them apart from the "window not set" message for the RH front window.

I have searched this site and not found an answer.

Basically I follow the resetting procedure and it doesn't work - the other windows and the roof have set fine though.
There are no nasty noises coming from the regulator and the window still rises and falls happily (it does slow down in the middle though)

Any suggestions?

They are bleeding iritating. Just keep trying and all of a sudden it will work. I had the same problem on monday. RH window wouldnt set and spent 10 minutes on the up and down button. Got fed up drove off parked up set the alarm which beeped and error, came back all working fine.

Had this a couple of weeks ago,
1. Start with the window up
2. Press and hold down the buton to lower the window
3. Continue to hold down the button for a couple of seconds after the winow has lowered
4. Press and hold the button to raise the window
5. Hold the button for a couple of seconds after the window has shut

It should now read window set.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and I agree with JCH did it exactly the same way and it worked. Rather than the handbook I think its holding down the button for a couple of secs which helps.
