Whats this pipe?

I have a small black (LPDE) pipe that has a curved end that is totally open ended (not fixed to anything or plugged) that sits just above the fuel regulator on my TD5. Can anyone tell me what this is for?

it sounds like one of the breather pipes from the gearbox or axles, have a look near it there should be some similar ones

gearbox breather for sure...the axle breathers are not curved and are routed under the body
