ive had my 4.0 at 48mpg!!!!

trick is to keep pressing the button whilst cruising about 55mph on the motorway, i reckon a doozel might reach 70's if its done right!!!

oh and thats dangerous using a camera whilst driving!!!

the bit that strikes me is the fuel guage at nearly full, first time ive seen it!!!!

According to my trip computer I did 50+ miles the other week without using a drop, but then used 14 miles worth finding a parking space in a multistorey

On a long motorway journey I calculate I get around 30-31 (Reading to Galway, Ireland+100miles=1 tank), around 20-21 about town and it seems to average out about 26 overall.

i averaged 35mpg on way down to dover other month, but on average on motorway sittin about 70 i get 32 easy

oh yea mine is a 1995 p38 2.5 dse manual

Trouble is, the on board computer lives in it's own little dream world, especially if you have a power box. My DSE will show 32mpg on the Autoroute, brim to brim that will be around 28mpg. Around and about it shows 27/28mpg which works out at about 24/25mpg brim to brim. Pretty good for such a heavy motor. Being a sad bugger, I keep a log and brim the car each time. Used to have to do it for work and old habits die hard. It has often proved useful in indicating early signs of something going wrong:D

mine only shows 14 mpg round town and goes up to 26-27 on a run but its on gas so cost wise its better than that:hippie:

you need to get the most efficient cruising speed, usually around 55mph, set cruise, and then press, wait for it to register, then press again. take piccys fast or it will go down quickly.

usually getting the wife to press helps while you take piccy!!!

also knocking it into N just before you press could help!

be carefull tho cos its dangerous, silly and most likely illegal

its funny tho!!!!

Well I've had my Range Rover for nearly 4 years now and its never been anywhere near a petrol station. its done loads and loads of miles in all that time but still uses no petrol or doosel or lpg. its never had an oil change or new filters or even had a tyre changed it just keeps going and going.

I wonder if this dosn't realy count as it a battry power model of a classic for the kids tee hee :D :D :D
