I am going to just bite the bullet and order a new Webasto Thermotop C coolant heater for my 300 TDI 110 CSW. I am looking for tips on:
1) Ideal mounting location
2) Bracket ideas for mounting
3) Fuel souce, Additional pickup in tank vs t-ing into line +/-s

Pictures of mounts would be great.

Thanks,

I fitted one to a 200tdi and mounted it up close to the brake servo, made access to the engine difficult and f doing again would go for low down behind the headlamps so easy to bleed.
I ran a seperate tank, but would again if doing it again would go for a dedicated feed stand pipe into the main derv tank, thta way any failure will not effect the running of the car.
The D3 has a nice mounting braxcket and this is what I used.

Are you installing it so that the cab is heated earlier and better or for some other reason. Given the poor heater on a landy even when fully warmed up would you not consider a cabin heater (webasto for example) that works form cold and works better then the original heater?

Fit it as a stand alone heater and use one of these to heat the cab, you could T into the engine coolant line and use it for both.

This will also work but needs a little bit of ducting and such to make a good install but could easily heat the second row of seats.

I've got a second hand Thermotop Z to fit in my Discovery later on after I've finished welding up the sills and boot floor etc, etc,.
