Hi, Came out of Tescos today and my Range Rover was sitting down (access height i think) at the rear, bouncing all the way home, front was ok. Just want heads up on the order of fault finding. I have had this problem before when left over Christmas, but seemed to sort it self out, on the way to work. Colin

Unless you replaced all 4 very recently, don't cheap out and only replace two. Do the whole lot and save yourself agro later on.
 
Takes about 2 hours the first time. Personally I took the front wheel-arch liners out for ease of access rather than muck about.

Took me nearer 2 weeks ! (i)Top pins were well & truly rusted in (ii) after it failed to stay up I discovered a straight connector in the line which was leaking then (iii) i discovered my compressor was knackered.....
 
Hi, Havent looked at my car yet, its dark by the time i get home. Just an update, after i got home and tried my car again later, it just stayed on the stops, front and rear. The indicater light (Standard) just flashes. Does this throw any other ideas what could be wrong, is un-likely all four bags are faulty. Can i pipe in a pressure gauge to check output from compressor, then maybe at each bag. Colin

Possibly an empty/low Air Tank level....

Run the engine and a leave a door open for ten minutes to recharge the tank, then close the door and select the standard ride height....with a charged tank it should pop up with a decent turn of speed....

No air pressure. Do the compressor and diaphragm check in my "How To" at top of page.
 
Hi, Tried running car with door open, two lights on access/standard, after 10ish mins closed car door, standard light started flashing, then after a few seconds all four lights started flashing then message EAS FAULT. I will check compressor and diaphragm next. Thanks to everyone for your help. Colin

Fault is because rise has been commanded and nothing happened within the set time span. Bet it has no air.
 
Not 100% on air bag set up on LR but certainly on busses and trucks the air drying filer can cause this and with it being so cols a wet the now condensation is the first thing I would check
 
Ah, OK.

If the caps are platic and the pins pop straight out (I used an old wire coat-hanger) then about 2 hours taking your time to think about it.

If the pins are rusted in (probably ally caps) then you could be in for a longer stint.

To be fair, I sprayed my pins each night with WD40 until the weekend when I did the job. That might of helped?

+ 1 on wammers check ,and you will still need to do at least the rear bags or it will just knacker the compressor again ,though as the others have said do all 4 and forget them for years :)

A lot better with Plus Gas.
