My 1999 freelander suffers from the old "feels like the brakes are on when on full lock" syndrome and I also have some castellation to the inside of my rear tyres.

I have done the the test as described on the ashcroft trans site and all seems to be well ??

Does this mean its on its way out or it this normal anyway ??

This is normal, they all "wind up" on lock. swap the tyres side to side to even the wear out.

Mine feels a bit like this on absolute full lock.

I painted a line on the propshafts and VCU - a week later and they are no longer in line.
