deffo gonna try to get money back, got trading standards involved at moment. The garage cannot say no legally, chuck it back at them.
bit of a shame to brake it up for parts, nice truck but now this gearbox issue, its just sitting on drive at moment.sell it for parts, get your money back
I bet the cable is way out of position.drives forward in reverse and in neutral, weird.
rac bloke tried adjusting cable and no luck.I bet the cable is way out of position.
I didn't say adjust it samurai, Undo the bloody cable and move the selector by hand arrrrr!!!rac bloke tried adjusting cable and no luck.
Haaaaaa,ok,ok,thanks will try it.I didn't say adjust it samurai, Undo the bloody cable and move the selector by hand arrrrr!!!
Doesn't sound as if it's in neutral which it should be if changing hi/lo ratio. When I switch for high-low it makes a clunk,if I switch it a few times just clunks, violently back and forth
tRIED IN NEUTRAL FROM LOW-HIGH,HIGH-LOW,CLUNK CLICK,CLUNK.BASTARD THING IS READY TO BE BURNED.Doesn't sound as if it's in neutral which it should be if changing hi/lo ratio.
The transfer box will clunk/click when it changes from hi to lo but you should not have any drive ,transfer changes should only occur when the main gearbox is in neutral in fact you should have a select neutral message on the dash.tRIED IN NEUTRAL FROM LOW-HIGH,HIGH-LOW,CLUNK CLICK,CLUNK.BASTARD THING IS READY TO BE BURNED.
If I put the selector in neutral with foot on brake, select hi/low the car clunks violently like its trying to engage,i don't fancy removing cable and selecting a gear by hand with engine running while under the car,bit scary that. The transfer box will clunk/click when it changes from hi to lo but you should not have any drive ,transfer changes should only occur when the main gearbox is in neutral in fact you should have a select neutral message on the dash.
