Hello Guys,
I have had my p38 around 8 months now and it has always taken a long time to start. The first thing i did was change the glow plugs, replaced them with Bosch ones and it didn't help the starting. I noticed there was air bubbles on the fuel line from the fuel filter to the engine, I got a mechanic to bleed it so there are no bubbles. I took it to a show the weekend and put £80.00 diesel in it and magically it started straight away even in the morning when she was cold. then after I drove it and used the fuel were back to square one and its taking long to start....... Any ideas?

Thank
Luke

Had the same problem : in tank pump eventually packed in : I replaced it and problem continued. Replaced the spill/leak pipes....problem solved permanently. Using the floor access method pump is dead easy : leak pipes also.
