I did have a 7" tablet for navigation that died recently.

So, im looking for a new, cheap tablet to use in the landy.

Im looking at about £100 for it, so I know its a cheap jobby, but the last one lasted 3 years for £50, and if I drop a sub £100 tablet in a puddle im less likly to cry...

I want a 9" one this time.

Not bothered about bells and whistles, I use it mainly in the landy for either sat nav on the road, or with alpine quest for OS maps, occasionally to watch a film n stuff on in the caravan

Does anyone have any model numbers to look out for.
Ive bought 2 so far described as "GPS" but when they have arrived, there has been no gps function on the damn things, so they have had to go back.

Tesco Hudl .. ace for the price. Hudl2 even better ... ;)

I use it with memory map tracker, and a couple of other gps apps for sat nav as well as laning. Browsing is Ok, watching films and TV is also OK, with the option to view via the wireless onto the smart TV (Same as any other android I guess) .. honestly I can't fault it!

If you got a stack of clubcard vouchers you can double them up against the hudl2.

About 60 odd quid in clubcard vouchers gets you one for next ti 'nowt'!

I put in another vote for the hudl I've had one in use as a navigator for a year now using the free "navfree" program. it's not perfect but does the job.
I'm getting the wife's Christmas present tomorrow she wants a hudl 2
Typed in using a hudl on WiFi
