hi
i had an accident with a jeep .. so the left miror left its place .. ( just the glass .. how can i refit it again ?

thanks for help .

do you mean the mirror glass has fell from the mirror body?
if so i think it just clips back in!
i think all thats required is a gentle press!

p.s. whats a "steaking mirror"? i trying to think of things it could be but im having trouble coming up with anything?

Thanks for the gen info

my driverside mirror glass vibrates at speed & i thought i had to remover the full mirorunit from inside via the door mounted tweeter

I will then remove the miror and as i think some of the clips maybe a little sad and loose squirt a little silicon to take the play between the mirror and its fixings and pop the miror back on again - should sttop the vibration

any idea on how many clips there are & theri positioning?

I assume 4 - one at each corner?

no, the side mirrors are held in with what I can only really describe as a ring. Its like a bit of black plastic that clips onto the mirror housing and then you kinda slot in and push down the mirror to make it click into place.

My passenger side mirror vibrated and I took the whole mirror off from the door like as you thought you had to but I didnt need to. I just had to remove the glass from the housing.

At that point I discovered the clips on the back of the mirror destroyed and someone had tried to use some black gunk glue type stuff to hold it in place. I got another mirror + fixing ring from the dealer for about £40. £30 for the actual heated glass mirror and £10 for the fixing ring (which I thought was way too expensive for a bit of plastic but I had no mirror at the time so was kinda stuck).

Got back home, clipped the ring into place and then gently attached the two heating wires for the mirror and offered it up with the side closest to the body going in first. You then kinda put the other side in and it clips into place. Its pretty difficult to explain until you do it but I will say you need to use quite a bit of force to make it clip, I was worried I was going to damage something but eventually it clipped in and its been fine since :)
