I have a working ace on my V8, but I’m interested in upgrading the pipework and fittings to stainless steel in the future to preserve its functionality rather than simply removing it like most people do.

Is there a supplier in this forum or does anyone know of a reputable supplier or manufacturer where I can get some stainless steel pipework and fittings?

Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Will

Why would you struggle with solid pipes which must be perfectly shaped to fit well, IMO the real upgrade is with flexible hoses all the way and modified valve block to accept threaded fittings.... unfortunately two pics are not visible anymore but you can get the ideea from the last one at post #5 HERE

something like THESE GUYS are making but with full lenght hoses instead of those short ones

If you're going down the stainless route I would suggest adding more pipe clamps to all lines. Stainless is not as flexible as copper or mild steel and will usually start to hairline crack with any vibration.

There’s a few reasons Stainless is not used/common in this environment. Cost, workability and suitability. All of the posts above are advising you not to after you asked the question, but you seem determined to continue. Please let us know how you get on !!

i have hydraulic hoses and they work fine. also quite easy to fit. i think if you want to fit stiff s/s pipes you will need to remove the body

100% there is a reason why s/s exhaust manifold will not last a week

possibly this one

I saw them that's why i asked.... so would you use 1/4" pipe for ACE rams??? cos the proper 3/8"'s max safe working pressure is 1 bar below the ACE's HP(which in reality can spike above 150 bar on hard cornering with loaded vehicle... the system was calibrated for 3/8" pipes, some guys tried with 10mm pipes which are just 0.5mm larger and the system didnt work well
