Hi all,
does anyone have a set of roof rails for a sale to fit a Freelander 5 door 2001 TD4.Mine never came with any and i think they just dont look right without them. Please PM me if pos.
Thanks:)

yes, i have the cross bars only,as new used a couple of times still in black vinyl bag with allen key and 2 lock keys £50 +p+p west midlands based(off 3 door ),freelander sold last week so have a few bits to get rid of

I wouldn't mind a set of these myself. For some reason a previous owner had the side steps and a full set of light guards but its never had roof rails. I priced 'em up on Ebay a month ago and they were very expensive but I guess they were new ones. Are they easy to fit?

Got mine today on ebay £104+p&p@ £10. These were new and genuine.

Congrats! I'd be interested to know how you get on fitting them, myself having never installed anything like that before. Do you have to buy the cross bars separately and in addition to the roof rails before you could fit a roof rack or cycle rack?

Yupie doo. . . .yer tryin er upset old git r yer. . . .

LOL! :p

Make sure you tightend the bolts good and proper or the water will leak down through the roof lining and you will need to by a new map light

(bitter and costly experience)

Yep tedshred made er good point , had a similar problem in the past, un used to use a lacquer from rs , fink it was called modified silicone, however it was a clear spray and once apply it would leave a water proof membrane, you could spray after tightening bolts, think it used to be used for printed circuit boards, jist er thought. . . .:) :) :)

I have the rail bars for the 3dr.

The weight limit is supposed to be around 65kg but I have gone well above this, esp when using the expedition rack as the load is distributed more evenly

The standard (twin bars) roof rack is a good job too, I'd advise you to get some sort of foam to wrap around the bars as they prevent slippage of cargo and a good set of rachet straps is a must also.

A welcome addition to any FL

I have the roof rails on mine, have a set of roof bars aswell, never been on me FL, still in the bag..............I don't have the key for em that's why they are still in the bag!! Anyone know where I can get a key from for them?
Thank you :)
