Hello everyone, just purchased our first Landrover discovery td5, and looking for some advice about the Rear boot seats. One of them isn't locking into the floor base properly I think the catch isn't locking around the floor Base bar. If anyone can make sense of what I'm saying lol, and help it would be very gratefully received any advice at all. Thanks

Welcome to lz! :)

No need to type in bold, we can hear you! ;)

Try lubricating the mechanism. If it is same as mine there will be loops of vinyl, that activate the catches from the boot, move them in and out, free it up. Mine takes a fair bang down to get it to catch sometimes.

The fabric strand isn't corresponding with the catch to lock but will unlock when I've pushed in the catch into the lock position with my hand

Yeah tried that buddy. The little catch that's supposed to go in the locking bar in the Base floor doesn't click in to lock. It stays in a open position and I've wd40 the catch too

Something a bit slipperier than wd might be better, but if it is that bad, it may need adjusting. My memory is that the bar on the floor can be moved slightly by loosening the bolts. I will have a look at my Disco in the morning.

Cheers buddy can I not tight the tension on the spring clip?
