We have got a 1993 4.2LSE Range Rover with 140,000 miles and it has reacently developed over heating problems. We have been advised that they cilinder head gasket has gone but have aslo been warned that the block may have gone porus or cracked. This can't be identified untill the head is taken off.
Can anyone advise if they have heard of this before and what the likley hood might be that the block has gone porus? If this is the case we will probably sell it as a new engine unit at £3,000 is not that appealing!
