BMW i think

The jag engines were introduced when the facelift model came out in 2006

Thanks alot for the quick respond from everyone and would you be able to just confirm the engine symbole/code for me.. The mechanic which has my car atm has told me that the engine symbol is: 448PN.

I will be purchasing a second hand engine for my car in next few days so have to make sure Im getting the right engine :)

Love to...but your question has just made me realise I don't know where my V5 is...must be in the Cupboard....I'll check!

I would appricate if you could get back to me when you mange to find it...

You seem to know alot about the Range Rovers what would you say is a reasonable price to pay for a second hand engine with around 80k done..?

Thanks for everything again.. :)

Don't forget that you will need to get the M62 that was specifically destined for the L322...as there were changes to permit use within the Range Rover...chiefly (among many other changes) was a strengthened Crank case and Sump pan to mount the front differential....

I have seen a few on Ebizzle that says L322 and X5 and they are different configuration of the same engine!

Do a goooooooogle search on 448PN...as far as I can tell it is the Jag 4.4 fitted from late 2005 for the 2006 Model Year Facelift....

I was almost certain after doing my research that the car which I have purchased has the BMW M62 engine until I've been contacted by my mechanic this morning. He seems to think that it has the Jaguar engine for some wired reason but I will look into this after I get some time off work.

My Range has been produced in May 2005 which is why I am almost certain that its got to have the BMW engine. I should also get my V5 through the post in next few days so I guess this will clear up all the confusion.
