Sorry to hear that Mike-when you redo, make sure the slipper feet are located properly on the release bearing-mine kept trying to jump off-little fu**ers-grease stopped em dropping off-Also check have you got the driven plate(friction plate )in the right way.
If it cheers you up at all,had all me wheels off y'day-found one of front break pads had delaminated, and half of it was missing(never seen this before in my life)and at the back there is a torsion bar with ball joint connector things on em-the nearside one is in two halves-thought the back end felt wiggly.
Does it ever end with Landies-good luck on your rebuild

Well what a difference some prior experience can make ;)

Friday afternoon 4 hours and 10 mins from start to finish to turn release bearing around... not too bad.

Has ran like a dream all weekend, expect the last hour on a my way home the clutch pedal started to get stiffer and a creak/squeek appeared upon pressing the clutch pedal down.....

any ideas?......

D'oh just been out to take a quick look at the pedal and linkage, i havnt fitted the spring back to the pedal!!! what a prat!

Would this make it harder to press?

Glad to hear you got it sorted Mike,is it behaving properly since you refitted the spring?
You did fit a reinforced fork I hope.
