Hi,

If all four puddle lamps are not working on any door, does that point to all the bulbs needing replacement or a general circuit problem. I can't see a fuse that relates to puddle lamps so should i just order four bulbs or check something else first?

What do you think?

First thoughts -
A voltmeter across the lamp terminals
A ohmeter across one of the bulbs
Any other 12 volt bulb and a bit of wire across the terminals
Book it into a main dealer
Who cares, summer is coming

your first 3 thoughts made sense but then you started to lose it! :D

before you start thinking its a major problem have you pressed and held the middle button on the interior light(between the sun visors) you should have a message come up, cant remember what it is, anyway it will turn them on or off. I would try this before anything else, then if thats not it i would disconnect the battery leave for a couple of minutes then reconnect.

Is the courtesy light working? If not that could be significant. Both work off the door panel switches. Courtesy lights, rear wiper, load space light, handset reciever and part of rear audio system are protected by fuse #15. If the courtesy light does not work with the door opened they may be switched off. If so press and hold the switch on the courtesy lamp and see if it beeps and the message centre displays INT LIGHTS ON.

I think I've found the cause of my problem.......they are frickin' reflectors not LIGHTS! :wtf::5biamwithstupid:

Feeling short changed as well, reflectors ...tut...

the puddle lights are on the underside of the doors you wont see them unless to get on the floor and look up, are you looking at the reflectors on the inside edge of the door near the latch?

The puddle lamps were optional extras. I only have front puddle lamps on my vehicle, but I read on t'intarnets that all of the wire for rears is there, just needs the lamps, so might have a butchers at that in the summer.

I had a thread a while ago for some logo projectors
I only had puddle lights in the front so moved them to the rear and fitted the projector lamps in the front. Look pretty good

Not mine but you get the idea
