Bit of advice.........am upto speed on Series landys with my resto in full swing (109 Series 2a SW) but fancy a Defender too and not too gen'd up on those.

Thoughts on this one. Going to see it on the weekend and fancy a bit of V8 in my life (it's a 2nd car and will do 3k a year).

My thoughts are its around £4k too much even considering the engine and box?

There is a massive error there though. It is obviously being sold as a defender but it can't be, it clearly states that the car is absolutely completely rust free!!!

my view is, when people totaly over value thinks to a silly point, and harp on how much been spent and how nice, then mention a small easy fix that needs doing, thats on a major thing like a diff lock...means they generaly are a complete idiot and to be avoided, i woudnt even go look

I'd be thinking £5.5k tops and that REALLY is tops

Have a look through auto trader and see what you can find similar to gauge against.

It does seem to have had a lot spent on it, and if it stacks up when you crawl all over it, it could be a fun buy

Offer him 5k cash, a fortnight before Christmas ;););), and just point out that no-one else is looking to buy a motor this side of february and there are PLEANTY more landys for sale, stick to your guns, tis a buyers market, even with the snow tax. Good luck.;):cool::cool:

I think I'd sooner spend the wedge on the Series..........not so much to go wrong, easier to fix...;)

Got a 200TDi instead.
