Please help

I have a diesel range rover p38 p reg it broke down last night and i had a friend tow me home we did not go above 20 mph and only travelled about 3 miles i did not know that i had to put a fuse i to change it to change the transfer box to neutral , whats the possible damage i could of done if any ? Thank you

you could have proper shagged the G/Box. shame you didnt know about fuse 11 and neutral, i would have thought you need to get it running to see if it works or not or a stripdown of the box, if its shagged then i cant see you damaging it any further!

Thank you for the reply the car was in neutral gear but not the transfer box with no fuse, would it of made any sort of noise or anything if i have damaged it ?

not particularly, i think it may be ok. its basically either gone or it hasnt, i would get the car started and then run it through all the gears inc low range and drive it to see if you can tell any damage.

i have got to have the imoblisier re set so as soon as the garage has done this i will get them to check thank you for all your help much appricatied
