Why does my p38 steer like a bag of crap. Ive done all the ball joints, drag link, tracking and steering damper, and there is no slack in the steering box. It wanders and if you hit a white line in the wet

Tyre pressures and make of tyres. When I had Wranglers on mine it was much better with 28psi in the rears when unladen. It was never bad after I did the drag ling and track rod ends but fitting Nexen Rodians transformed it, not a hint of tramlining now:D

+ 1 about the tyres, let us know which ones you have and the pressure.
Also was it a good place there did your tracking and steering box?

I have this problem, had the tracking done but the O/S and N/S tyres are worn on the insides, the O/S is a lot more worn, so looks like need new front boots on, will get a price for some Nexen rodiens if there a good tyre for the P38.

Contact wil2813 on here for Nexens. I have found them excellent, good grip wet or dry, very quiet, no tramlining and the price is good.

might of been tracked but imo some have no idea how to set up a steering box properly so wouldn't rule out your track is spot on,for peace of mind nip back & have it rechecked for FREE should be part of the service as it is where I go:D;);)
