P38 storing over size wheels

Just fitted my winter tyres and the spare won't fit in the hole under the boot, so show me how you store yours please? Its tight as I have a dog cage too

How eversize have you gone? 996Turbo made up a mount so the wheel had its own hinged carrier behind the boot. Think it was him. Memory is not great with names.

Not a p38 but......

How big are the tyres??

Some P38s come with a cover thing for the wheel and it stores in the boot. These probably won’t fit your wheel though so you’d need a custom one.
I have seen systems for holding them on rear doors like a defender but they are complicated due to the tailgates.
I wouldn’t put one on the bonnet personally, did it to my defender when the rear door rotted but p38 bonnet is thinner and you’d need the bracket/plates
I’ve heard of one that fits on the tow bar, or is good excuse to get a roof rack maybe?

the P38, the Cayenne and the L322 all have LPG so the spare wheel well is taken up with an LPG tank. the spares have spare wheel covers on them in the shed. if you keep the tyres out of the gutter where road detritus collects, watch where you park you'll rarely have a flat..oh and keep an eye on the pressures regularly. the only time in the past 10 years got stuck was when the wife had a blow out on the cayenne, on a dual carriage wat from hitting something in the road which she couldn't avoid. green flag recovered it home
