Hi guys. I'm swopping seats for leather ones that don't have air bags so my question is how do I make the system think the air bags are plugged in on the front seats thanks

I can provide you with details of how to make a doofer to fool the SRS ECU, or I can make them for you. PM me for details. The side airbags are useless, I disconnected mine after one went of and knackered the drivers seat.

It should not have. SRS lamp should come on with ignition for bulb check then go out. If it doesn't it's a fail. One on permanently is a fail. Answer a bit late though.
