Hi all
I bought n s reg range rover P38 and after a few weeks I had a problem with the suspension.
I took it to a garage where they reset the computer. It worked OK for a few weeks and then collapsed again
I took it back and they said that the suspension bags needed changing
also the key was not working well. I was told by a friend not to believe them so moved my car to another garage.
The key was broken and I had to buy a new key. I did from a RR dealer but the key dosent seem to communicate with the computer.
The garage has had a few people to look at it but nobody seems to be able to sort it.
I am loathe to take it to a main dealer as it would cost me more than I paid for the car.
Any ideas???

Where did you get the new key? If it was from Ebay or the like it will NOT work. If it came from a Land Rover dealer, the new key needs to be synced to the car. As for the EAS, download the free EAS software from www.rswsolutions.com buy the cable and read the faults yourself. It will probably need nead airbags.

No I bought the key from a range Rover dealer at the ridiculous price of £150.00.
I have had a couple of people trying to sync the key but they dont seem to be able to.
Is there any company that I could contact?

If your door lock set has been changed at some time inthe past and Land Rover was not informed, then you may have a fob that has been programmed for your previous lockset. This will not sync.
Try speaking to a company called Callrova(they have a website) or maybe Irishrover on this forum will have some ideas.

Thanks for that John,
I believe the garage where my car is is trying callrova they have not got back to him.
Do yo
u think a lock smith could do the trick?

A locksmith will not help. depending on the age of the car, there are different ways to synch the keyfob.
Irishrover is perhaps your best bet, PM him, otherwise try rick the pick.

put the key in the door unlock it, then press the unlock button on the fob, then lock it and press the lock button on the key fob.
if it is the later model the key wiil self sync when u put it in the ignition.
if it doesn't work then u have onother pro
