I have got a problem with a range rover p38 4.0 v8, it has got a gas kit fitted not sure what make it is. But the switch to change the gas over lights up then goes out then comes back on intermittently, it also comes on when you switch the ignition on and off. now i managed to get the vehicle to start and run on petrol, i turned it off and on a few times and it started fine. After a little time the engine cut out and wouldn't re-start. while it was runing i disconected to gas switch to switch between petrol and gas and it continued to run ok.
If i could find the main fuse for the gas kit, i assume it has a ECU. could i disconect the feed and should the engine run on petrol.
We have had alot of problems with gas kit but the switch keeps going dull and the going off, and it also lights back up. it also wouldn't switch over to gas even when i rev'd the engine abit.
Could anybody shead some light on the problem, does anybody have a basic wiring diagram for a gas kit or a trouble shooter page.
