Welcome,

You may find the buying attachment useful on your search for a D2.

For greenlaning you should in theory get by without the need for a winch. However.

Winch wise, for the general greenlaning / P&P a 13500 Lbs Rhino or winchmax would do you OK, with Dyneema. You will also need a winch bumper , plus you will need to make sure the recovery points are good, and the D2 is known for having a high risk of manky rear chassis. The std towing point is a plough.

AT tyres, will see you OK.

The D2's also did not all come with a central difflock, so make sure to ignore the sticker in the dash and check if it has CDL ?, if it is in the tbox and you need the lever system or worst case you may want the tbox fittings and the lever.

Cheers

AT or MT tyres. Kinetic rope. Good (aka safe) recovery points. Mapping tools. And probably a friend to go with in a 2nd vehicle.

Hello Paul.

Buy a Freelander 1 and fit a decent set of all terrain tyres on it, job done.

Oh and find some mates to joy ride with, nothing worse than getting stuck on your own in the middle of nowhere.
