Unfortunately my beloved Defender was broken into in a London car park, with the thieves getting away with a lap top, some clothing etc. My car insurance only covers for £250 glass, nothing more. My John Lewis home insurance wouldn't pay because the contents were not in a secure covered boot. So this means that anyone with a Defender is not covered for any break in. Disgrace. Does anyone know of any Defender-friendly insurance companies?

Where was your laptop, if it was just lying in open view, you must take some of the blame.
You wouldn't leave a 300 pound note in plain view.

Does sound like you may have left it out there for someone to look at and get, did you hide it anywhere? .....But, shirley if it was in a hatchback, that is not a secure ( maybe covered.....) boot.

Cheers

Could it be you didn't have the right or enough insurance coverage? Did you go with the cheapest cost you could find? or did you go with the best coverage possible?
