2000 model 4.6 V8 Petrol / LPG
Went down to the in-laws yesterday, Christmas Day (25 miles), Range Rover ran as well as it always does. Parked up, came out and went to pick up another relative from 5 minutes away, came back and parked up.
When it was time to come home, I got in , turned they key and the engine began to spin over as it always does but would not fire, it always starts first turn.
There is plenty of juice from the battery, but no firing, it does feel like it is on the edge of firing, but just not quite there.
It was dark, I got out my torch to have a look round, that was flat and there wasn't enough street light to see anything.
I couldn't smell petrol so it doesn't seem to have flooded, and never has before anyway.
The car is LPG, but always starts on Petrol anyway, there is plenty of petrol in the tank and the LPG is nearly full.
Then the rain started!
This was at 11pm, RAC said a minimum of 2 hours so I have booked them in for 10 am this morning and came home in the father in law's car.
Going back this morning early to see if I can spot the problem before the RAC turn up then I can drive back!
I have a Hawkeye and some LPG software, but I can't see this being the LPG as the car should start on petrol.
Any thoughts or pointers as to where to start?
