L322 New Owner - TMC doesn't work on Satnav

Hello
Just bought the L322 and I can't seem to get the TMC to work when Satnav is running.

TMC is displayed in white, but the annual says it has to be green to show that it is receiving the signal.

Any ideas on how to make this work?

If it is the original Mk3 unit TMC was a subscription service

The car is a 2003 model V8 Vogue, how would I be able to tell if it is an original version?
Would you happen to know who operates the subscription service?

Mk4 Unit....

Don't think TMC is now subscribable to.....the Mk4 unit can still receive TMC service....

Research indicates TMC still in use, although not sure how to subscribe to it using the older unit....my mk4 can still get TMC info.

I have this system in the Saab (they're pretty much identical.. and the disc in the system is an LR disc). I also have the TMC unit plugged in which isn't subscription based - just runs on its own with a wee antenna in the boot!

It looks like TMC isn't going to be an option then.
I have looked around on the web and discovered that TMC is going to cease as a service in the next 12 months.
So upgrading the Sat Nav unit in the boot would still only get me a few more months of TMC.
I'll manage without it then......

The upgraded unit is MUCH better than the mk3....mapping is better speed of mapping is better, graphics easier to read....don't discount it...

Hi you need to switch on your RDS to make your TMC work have a look here and scroll down to the blue wrighting then download the owners manual MK3-MK4.

It looks like I have the MK3 version.
If I can find a MK4 version, is it as simple as just swapping the unit in the back nearside wheel well?
What's the going rate for a MK4 version?

totally plug and play, prices vary from £125-300....depending on seller...

OK, the hunt is on to find a MK4 version, how do I tell on eBay if the unit is MK3 or MK4?
Does anyone know of a reputable supplier that I can get one from?
Anyone selling one?

I bought it from a guy called Mirrtzi (spelling) from ebay....

I managed to get a MkIV version with DVD disc, the install couldn't have been simpler, the mapping is much better, particularly with the 3d/Perspective mode and TMC.
