Ordered a new fuel tank and powersteering pump earlier, hope to get those fitted on the weekend.
Also managed to get the last seat bolt off (grinder!) and gave the cab the first scrub it's had in years... All ready to be insulated and carpeted :D

Or should I paint the inside first to preserve it? If so what's the best stuff?

How much insulation do you think I'll need for my single cab?

Just got underneath my engine to try remove the old power steering pump and noticed this bolt missing... The thread on the inside looks clean but surely something should be here?

Asked my local landy garage while picking some little bits up and he told me it's the breather and nothing to worry about... Thank fook!

Anyway, got the new power steering pump fitted! Much better :)

Fuel tanks still not here, was hoping to fit that this weekend!
Took the bodged airfilter to turbo pipes off and gave them a decent clean as they were filthy. Didn't want crap going into the turbo! Decided that I need a dishwasher...

Tank still won't be here until Thursday apparently! Will have to be a Saturday job fitting that...

Just changed engine oil with some 10w 40 - oil filter was a right bastard to get off!
Also changed the rear diff oil for some ep90 - drain plug was seized solid... Is anything ever simple?!

I've got some ATF for the gearbox and plan on changing that as well as front diff and transfer box oil on Saturday too :)

But for now I have to go and do some work... Something's gotta pay for all these parts!

Finally got a minute to change the front diff oil - both plugs came undone and everything went as it should! :)

I noticed that the rear diff is leaking where the prob bolts on to it... More research is needed on this... Hope it's not a bastard job?!

Had a go at changing the front diff oil pinion seal, got to this stage and couldn't for the f*cking life of me get the flange to come off! That along with not being able to get the fuel tank off (new tanks here now) made me book it into my local landy specialist next Monday so they can do it... :(

On the plus side though, I managed to source a hardtop roof, sides amd rear door for a bargain price!

Went green laning for my first time! I know, I was a virgin...
Just an easy route (the only one I know of), Sutton Heath/rendlesham forest.

Picked her up from the garage this morning along with a fresh fuel tank, front and rear pinion oil seals and a new slave cylinder fitted!

Just bought myself a pressurised garden sprayer ready to change my gearbox oil. All I need to do then is buy some more ep90 for the transfer then that's all the fluids changed! They desperately needed doing.

Spent yesterday afternoon driving around the surrounding areas of thetford looking for BOATS on my new os map of the area. Found some that weren't closed, pretty dry and sandy so nothing extreme...

Noticed that I've got a diesel leak from the small hose on the passenger side where it connects to my new fuel tank. Need to see to that!

Also had some copper washers and a new banjo bolt for the rear axle breather arrive yesterday, only ordered them Friday afternoon from lr direct, impressed!

Yeah, LR direct have been pretty good for all of the stuff I have had off them too. Loads cheaper than ebay aswell

Yeah I'll definitely be using them again! Ordered a wading kit off ebay last night so will fit that this week :)

I'm on a budget so it's just a case of buying things when I can afford them...

Spent a few hours on the old girl today!
Got all the breather lines plumbed in, just got to buy a 3 into 1 connector and then I can run the last pipe up the snorkel :)

The timing case breather plate that came with it, failed to mention that the bolts would be too long and would catch on something! So after a little ####up, I had to remove it and replace with the old one... For now until I get some shorter bolts!

I didn't bother sealing the snorkel etc all up as I need a couple of new pipes so I'll do it all at the same time rather than doing the job twice! Would like a helping hand off somebody really to make sure I don't miss anything! I did seal up the fart valve thingy at the bottom of the Airbox though.

I also bent the bracket so the Airbox sits in a better place, which I'm happy with! And made a tempory bracket for the power steering reservoir.

Is the bolt in the top right a wade plug that's already in there?

I also propped up the sagging bit of board in the passenger footwell and tiger sealed it!

The one in the bottom of the timing case was out but I reckon the bell housing one has been in there since before we got it, 4 years ago! Ooooops...

Aaaaaand I broke down, again! Same bloody problem that I thought a new tank should fix... Air in the fuel system, this time I've found a leaky copper pipe where it joins the tank on the passenger side, hoping that should sort it?

She's off the road again, can't afford to insure her and my van at the same time really.
I'd contemplated selling but I just can't bring myself to do it! Ideally I'd rebuild her but haven't got loads of excess wonga at the moment... Or ever, to tell the truth!
