It fits with the metal cage that usually comes with a radio... probably the same thing that's holding yer radio into the dash mount ye've got just now;):D

No it was fitted but empty, other than a single Carling switch for the light bar. I added my Stereo and CB. Couldnt make the SWR fit anywhere nice so its in the cubby box with a link lead. Cb comes out with only a few screws so can check SWR periodically or if i think ive broken anything :p

Aye looks alright that does BearDy;):D

Cheers Buster, I like it :D

I just used the normal metal cage and bent LOTS and LOTS of tabs back to spread the load out, as it only holds against the plastic of the MUD console.

yeh, thats exactly what i was thinking...
my radio and CB and properly secured with screws to the upper dash...

by fitting the mud console and having the radio just holding against the plastic of the mud console I wonder if the radio will still stay in place when bouncing around off roading....

Dont think it will bounce around at all JP.
I have done a small amount of greenlaning with the radio in at it didnt move. Although the CD skipped a little ;) think i need to invest in an ipod or cheap alternative.

Only thing i wud say is that if i got hold of it and gave it a good yank i think the plastic would break and you have the radio away.

but likewise if it was simply screwed into the plastic of the dash im pretty sure someone could ripped those screws out or snapped the plastice aswell, the plastics in a fender dash arnt the strongest :p

Love the KBx grille and light surrounds, a really good look.
Nice looking motor. I have paid a deposit for my 'new to me' Landy and pick it up on Saturday and have now ordered the KBx grille and light surrounds.
