Thanks tommo138 ;)

P38_Ireland.
You are most welcome. Although i do reserve the right to have an occasional jibe or snigger as Fanatic puts it ;)

In fact, that you, who have so long been so obviously very Anti BBS have been converted by getting and trying our equipment yourself, especially to the degree you seem to have been, could not be a better advert for how "Smokin" as you put it, our equipment really and truly is.
Tell me again how good you now think it is LOL

Your dead right BBS Guy, the occasional Jibe/Snigger is more than fair (and thanks for taking the high road.) i think its fair to say that possibly one of your biggest skeptics has been converted and extremely pleased with the results. if anyone else has the chance to get involved with another deal (if one takes place) do give it serious thought. it will save time and money in the long run.

that didn't need a diagnostic kit now did it.

well if you read all the posts you would see that having done a "DIAGNOSTIC" and being told what the problem was i then confirmed it by doing a test with a multi meter.

aww bless!! he reminds me of the "old me" lol full of skepticism!!!

No diagnostic system, no matter how good, is ever going to be any substitute for human intelligence, logical thinking and traditional fault finding skills.

It is however, as Irishrover states, so very often the most valuable tool and time saving aid you could ever wish to have in your toolbox. And the more vehicle manufacturer and vehicle model / system dedicated the better.

In most cases, even if you managed to find and fix a problem without it, it will still be needed at the very least to reset the system and clear stored fault codes.

But even for those that do not think or know they have any problem, being able to access and check their vehicle systems health at will and whenever they wish is really worth it's weight in gold, and it provides a level of comfort, confidence and assurance of real value.

Just think how much is paid every year in breakdown insurance, none of which will do anything except get you and your vehicle home or to the dealers clutches in the event one of the on board systems just throws one of its infamous wobblies.

A one off investment, which can be transferred very easily to other cars and as such, having very high resale value, has never made better sense.

Paul, despite no doubt having much better things to do with his time, and after proving his trustability and worth to help all LZ'rs to save a fortune in achieving this, has agreed to do it again one last time.

No doubt for the benefit of those put off or unwilling to trust in us on the first Group buy, which i think its fair to say we have negated.

The FCR is a truly stunning and a very capable and worth while bit of kit. If you buy it direct from us, its 199 Plus VAT @ 15% and then shipping costs takes it well into 250 plus.

Pauls group buy offer reduces this to only around 180 plus about a fiver for shipping !!!

Who says you have been left off the hook ????

Most of the people on here were telling you that BBS were totally upfront with their offer and in no way were a "Fly by night" operator. The vast majority of BBS equipment owners are more than pleased with the gear and support that is given by them. Ok, the "Guvnor" can fly off the handle now and again, but can't we all ?
I have been a user of their kit for many years now and have found them to be second to none in the field of customer support. The effort put into the recent offer by Colin and Chris in putting the recent bulk purchase together is to be highly commended.
Now that you have succumbed and bought the FCR will no doubt confirm what I and others have been saying. I hope that you find it to be the most useful piece of kit in your toolbox and maybe you will move further on with expanding your diagnostic equipment. As I have said before, I have no commercial tie up or arrangements with BBS, I just tell it as it is...that said, if the Boss Man wants to pop over to Crete late September and buy me a couple of Ouzo's :beer2::beer2::beer2:, I won't say no!!

Just have a bit of faith and confidence in what you read on the forum, there is a lot of experience (Gained first hand) on here, from people who have been there, done that and got the T shirt many times over, o.k., we might not get it right first hand, but the collective input usually means that the end result is a fix, without resorting to a trip to the stealers.

 Apologies Paul for naming you "Chris". No way detracts from your efforts !!

Don't think BBS guy is going to keep me in beer when we are in Crete somehow :beer2::beer2::beer2::beer2::beer2:..he never mentioned that !!!

aww bless!! he reminds me of the "old me" lol full of skepticism!!!

lol! probably.

Actually its not even that, i've nothing against bbs guy since i don't know him personally and i do know for a fact he has a good product but if everyone who made a useful screw driver or hammer or socket wrench or some other tool that you can buy and then use also went on to wax evangelical about it and hijacked as many threads to blow their own trumpets, we'd never get back to our Landys waiting in the garage, would we? Do you see RPI or Mark Adams going on at such length about Tornado chips? Do the Autologic or Testbook guys come on here and scab free advertising? Just bugs me. I want to talk to fellow Landy enthusiasts, not endure endless self-admiration and advertising.

Fair points there rasheed, BUT I did say the same as you in the past and BBS guy will admit he like to talk about his products BUT they are good and until you have used one and can see what they do you wont understand completely. As I said your preaching to the converted

Irishrover
Have you any idea of just how far Crete actually is from Cyprus ???
It may be just an inch or two on a world globe / Atlas, but i really don't fancy walking it myself. :)

There are sailngs from Cyprus to Crete, but they are a 3 day event, just to give you a few hours there and there are only 2 or 3 a year.

The best i can really do is send you a small bottle of Ouzo to get you in the mood before you go with my compliments. Just PM me where to send it

From what I have gathered over the years Colin, you don't need to use a ferry as you can walk on water !!!!

Only joking.......I have the remains of a bottle of 50% Ouzo here at home. It comes out when I get frustrated with some of the posts on here...and that's pretty frequently !!!!
:hysterically_laughi

Maybe we should have a Rangie Rally to Cyprus - we could combine it with a group discount on Faultmates, plus a charity type thingy where people pay to see how many Range Rovers actually make it....

Maybe get sponsored by Shell or BP

so the coil pack arrived and fitted it sorted! the V8 is back on the road!!!

check out what the old coil pack looked like
