My Land Rover l322 gearbox issue

Hi guys I’m back again with time with a major gearbox issue, my Range Rover l322 will only select park reverse neutral won’t let me select drive on the level like something is stopping it anyone ever had this issue? Major help needed guys

What gearbox has it got?

im not 100% sure its the td6 automatic in mine and dont have a jack strong enough to jack it up to check either its on a 52 plate hse

Guys, I think this fault was posted recently, somewhere on here, guys. Maybe you guys could have a look.

It will be the GM box with the valve block made of cream cheese. Beyond that I cannot help.

You should be able to put the suspension on high and put stand under chassis to check level.

Could you clarify what you mean by ‘won’t let me select drive’? Do you mean that the gear lever will not physically move to the D position, or that you can select drive with the lever but nothing happens?
