Multiple error codes

Driving along minding my own business when the error lights came on and the centre display came up with a number of error messages. "transmission Error", "engine fault", "handbrake fault". The transmission then locks into a low range gear and the suspension is lowered. I stopped and restarted the engine and back to normal. This is now happened a few more times. Any ideas?

Diagnostics. Year of car and engine type might help.
