Disco 3 (LR3) Mirror adjust switch removal

Hello everyone
My lr3 is the 2009 GS model.
My mirror adjust switch (RHD) has broken and my replacement has just arrived, looking online everyone is saying you need to remove the door card however
The switch just looks like a push fit but it seems to be far too tight

Does anyone know of an easier way to remove it before I start breaking plastics and damaging my door.

Just to add to this post , I have have managed to do it without removing the door card and here is how.

Step one: remove the mirror adjust switch cap (it just pulls off )

Step two use pliers to pull out the switch (careful of surrounding plastic)

Step three carefully pull out the switch from the hole

.step four remove plug and attach new switch then perform process in reverse.
