Interesting info, thanks.

In replacing the pipes, all I did was pull the old ones off and slide the new ones on. I didn't remove any fittings.

When I took the plenum chamber off, the gasket to the inlet manifold broke/was perished and a 1/2" chunk came away. When I put it back on I pushed this bit back in as I tightened it - so the gasket really needs replacing. The main air supply hose into the plenum chamber also has a small split where it pushes over the join - so needs replacing as well. There's no sound of air escaping or being sucked in, so I'm winging it at the moment - I talk about "preventative maintenance" - but not to good at taking my advice :)

TBH although my clutch does judder - I'm not going to be replacing it soon. It will be useful to have as many pics as pos when I come to do it - but whether I can find those threads at the time is a long shot :)

Well this looks like the culprit just managed to get it out after 2hrs what a bugger it was completely seized with carbon took forever this was in the bottom the remains of the washer screw driver and blutack did the job . New one fitted about to chuck it back together and test it also done the others not just one ha ha
