has it been lifted? looks possible.
if so what castor correction has been done? this can make twitchiness.
as can tracking, if its not set quite right.
add that to big tyres, an its akin to drivin a twtichy jelly.

get the dealer to get rid of the "twitchyness"

What is twitchyness?

my definition, and the best way i can describe it.

on a decent set up vehicle, travelling on motorway, 40-70 mph,
and you have to straddle the waggon ruts / depressions in the tarmac.
nearside of vehicle drops into ruts, you correct steering, it climbs out and offside falls into ruts. continues till you pull into second lane, or road resurfaced.

twitchy at lower speeds on flat road indicates summats not quite right with vehicle.

could also be described as "skittish"
or
"a **** to drive in a straight line"

with those tyres on it has more than likely been used for laning/p&p/working etc so could just be something simple like track rod ends, steering damper, balancing but would definately be test driving others before commiting.

tell the dealer your thoughts, if they are any good they will look into and sort any problems before you buy it.

Nice....but what the headlamp wash/wipe ? Dont see no wipers. E bay says manual..Dealer says auto.. What are " extra seats" ? Is it a seven seater or has it got two picnic chairs in the boot.
Its a bit of cut n paste i suspect. The listing has manual in sveral places, so itll be a manual.Extra seats means seven seater-dont think the dealer is landy specalist. There are headlamp washers, wont find many wipers on modern motors these days.

Hi bobbler,

I've used this garage for my cars for years and are very good, i asked the guy about the history, he said it had been an 'enthusiast's' car, fair enough i thought.....i'm going to give their other disco a run out, then this one again, the more i'm thinking about it the more i recon its the movement in the big tyres that i'm feeling,(after driving quite a stiff car in the 3 series) if it is i'll ask them to put some road tyres on for the sale.....then i'll need some cheap insurance!

sounds like your talking your self into it.DONT.The tires are remolds and can be fitted to a d2 thats never been off road or crashed. They aint expensive.Looks like your trying to get ya fingers burnt. That car has no redeeming features.
