I bought light guards genuine Land Rover ones for a fiver. At Peterborough. but didn’t come with fixings either going to drill self tappers in the holes but before I do this anyone know where I can buy the fixings can’t find any.
 
Don't use self tappers, that's bodging it. Use something like rivnuts or something, have you asked LandRover? They might have the correct fittings or at least tell you how and with what they are fitted, I seem to remember mine many years ago had something a little more refined than self tappers.

Bodging is doing it proper in my mind but them coming loose is what I’m fearing
 
Exactamundo Evan, or getting torn off if you have a fight with a bush or something, riv nuts are way Tidier.



I think both mine did, well , they must have, not much point in only one being on a hinge.
Pop rivets will do same job I suppose will have to drill them out every time a bulb needs changing
 
Much better job than self tappers.
It’s a farm truck covered in dents so tackiness isn’t an issue but will a screwdriver with extension bar open lenses and enough room to change light
Suppose I’d need a fairly big river though
 
Front or rear?
Rivnuts and bolts for the top of my fronts and P clips (held by Rivnuts and bolts) for the bottoms, so they pivot out of the way when changing bulbs
 
Self tappers into thin ally will not last too many removals and re-fixes. And steel self tappers into thin ally = corrosion. Rivnuts - easy peasy to fit, made of ally = no bi-metal corrosion. Bit of copper grease when fitting the screws, remove as many times as you like without problems. No brainer.
