Starting to look nice.

The good news is that a successor is in the works, although the new car won’t be known as an LR2. It won’t even be known as a Freelander, which is what the LR2 is called overseas. Instead, the successor to the LR2 will be called a Discovery Sport.

My bro-in-law has just bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee, I see notalotta difference ...

The #### is the point in a discovery sport? A range rover sport maybe, people that buy them expect that. What happened to a disco being a posh mans defender? Tis a crying shame it is

It is a shame, they all (models) seem to be getting bigger on the outside with less room inside. more style and less function.

I realise the Land Rover need to move with the times and suit new car buyers, but this just confirms my desire to retain my Discovery 1 for as long as possible.

I met a chap today who works on the Evoque production line today, he was convinced that the new defender (dread to think) is going to be made in india. I have a horrible feeling its going to be a variation on the current theme. What's wrong with a few straight lines?

can you get smaller on the inside than a defender, my 100's been christened the inverse tardis - y'know, smaller on the inside.

Dont see how you can say that , the whole thing with a defender is inside and outside is only separated by a sheet of ally

I got sent a couple of pictures via snapchat from a mate this afternoon......

I quite like the look of it from what I can see, although he had obfuscated some parts of it.

Ground clearance isn't great. I was behind a newish Range Rover Sport yesterday and it grounded on a hospital car park speed bump (admittedly was carrying 3 doughnut munchers). This new heap of crap doesn't look like it would do very well off road either. Looks more like a Mitsubishi Shogun Sport, but twice the price (presumably).

Land Rover are not selling off road vehicles any more though are they? They are selling prestige vehicles to well healed buyers who like the idea of driving a Land Rover, but want modern style and toys, and the ability to show off with it.
