Make sure the connections are good and clean. Check that switch is not sticking. Give it a spray with WD40 and check operation by closing door and going through EKA procedure whilst looking at the side repeaters.
Remember that all doors, bonnet and tailgate should be closed when inputting EKA.

100% right:doh:
Yes...... the lights will not flash.
Looks more like the code refresh then.

Have one more go with the EKA, making sure you pause at mid position before moving to the next number and finally going to the unlock position again after the last digit has been entered, remove the key and put it into the ignition

had another go i had about a 3 second gap between each number, but when doing each one i only have about a second gap, does it matter if its locked or unlocked before i do the first 4 left, i done it couple more times still nothing

Kooky..a becm is usually locked by default so that security and I.D. information is not wiped by mistake, another "Sinister" reason is that if a becm becomes "Alarmed", Dealers Testbook cannot unlock it and clear the alarmed status..result..new becm at around £800,programmed by Test Book and automatically locked ready for the next time.

Skippy..have got a second opinion from Rovacom..double check that all the plugs are soundly connected to the becm. They also confirm that the Engine ECU code needs to be read and compared with the EMS code stored in the becm. The engine code can't be changed..the one in the becm can.
Another reason why a becm is better unlocked!!

sorry only just read this post, all leads are in good so you think it needs coding then and can andy do this

1)
Turn 4 times to left, ensuring key is returned to centre position
2)
Turn key "x" no. of turns to right, ensuring key is returned to centre position.
3)
Turn key "x" no. of turns to left, " " " " " " "
4)
Turn key "x" no. of turns to right " " " " " " "
5)
Turn key "x" no of turns to left " " " " " " "

6)
Finally turn key ONCE to right to unlock, return key to centre position and remove key, put key in ignition switch and start engine.

"x"= EKA code no.digit.

Taken from RAVE.

Anyone with Rovacom/Faultmate and the BECM module SM 022 can do it. I know Andy has the same module as me for unlocking the unit, so he's bound to have SM 022 as well. I feel sure that Wills would have it also

That's all that's left other than the ignition switch transponder, but you say that was disturbed before you had the original fault and it ran okay afterwards???

Does the green ring around the ignition switch illuminate?? The transponder shares the same plug (White) which plugs into the loom located under the steering wheel cowl.
