So I have the car and the CD was working fine when I drove it home (as I made sure i took some cds, dvds etc when i bought it to check).

Anyway, last 2-3 days I cannot get the CD button on the touch screen to do anything - i press and press and nothing happens.

I've tried taking the cd tray out and back in but no joy!

I wondering if I can 'reboot' etc as it might be a computer issue rather than cd system itself .... BUT GIVEN I know nothing about cars I was hoping one of you could comment!

Sorry can't help you with this, but there are lots of people on here who wish the CD player not working was their only problem.:cool::cool::cool:

Yeah that may well be. Sorry can't help electricery is a black art to me i am more a oily person. Don't think you did mention it, but year of vehicle, type of system may get a reply.

Hi Darrenh, if its a range rover cd player then if you remove the unit from the load area and just give it a clean and lubricate the mechanics of it, with 3 in 1 light oil. Tried this on mine and its still working after 3yrs. Becarefull not to get too much oil on the internal electronics. Bazz.:D
