Hi ... new to Landy zone
Had a Disco V8 R reg (Met Green )
Had a Disco Diesel M reg ( black )

Just bought a blue Freelander TD4 -
Nice to back behind the wheel on a Land Rover again...

I actually worked as a contractor in the Body in white department at Solihull and watched the Freelander 1 and Disco’s being built .... back in the good old days ...

Any how ... good to be here and am no stranger to mechanical pain - just endured a strip down of the front suspension on my FL to find a buggered ball joint .... it’s like 1996 all over again

I'll second that, good folks here imo (if a little cranky at times). The replies to newby @maxthedog are a great example. Welcome from me anyhow, no doubt @Hippo will be along soon

Nice to see yer upgraded to a Freelander. Must of been fantastic to watch freelanders being born at the factory.

Great name that, rusty but trusty. I should have called my landy that, it would of been half true anyway. Welcome to the club, formal dress not required.

My old Disco ... was so rotten the boot carpet held the floor together... but the old bugger towed a caravan from Aberystwyth to Edinburgh with a damaged gearbox ... hence the name : rusty but trusty
