I've "lurked" around these forums for a while, and picked up some good advice in times of need! Decided it's time to join the fray properly!
Needless to say, I have a "new issue" with my 2004 Discovery 2, bought new in Suffolk, stayed a while then emigrated to France for 4 years, then emigrated again to Ireland 3years ago, so on her 3rd set of registration papers now!
The latest issue - there have been a few... - is a flat battery! Flat because the starter won't stop turning, regardless of the presence of a key! I have seen similar-ish issues on a couple of forums, so if I can work out where to post a question, I will do so. Charged battery after disconnecting -ve, but as soon as I touch the battery terminal with -ve lead from charged battery, the starter turns - hence flat battery in fairly short order.
Anyway this was just to say "Hello". Will hopefully speak with some in due course!
